Pellumbasi Cave

Service Description

The Black Cave, also known as the Cave of Pëllumbas, is situated 650 meters above sea level and is recognized as one of Albania's most valuable karstic caves and prehistoric sites. Declared a natural monument in 2002, it holds significant importance for both natural and cultural history. Within the cave, skeletons of cave bears (Ursus Speleaus) were discovered, which, according to the Museum of Natural Sciences at Florence University, date back 400,000 to 10,000 years. This type of cave is rare, with only five similar caves found across Europe. Wake up to the fresh air and the first light of dawn, ready to explore more of the area or simply relax by the riverside. Whether you're hiking or camping, Pëllumbas Cave offers a unique and unforgettable experience, blending adventure with the tranquility of Albania's stunning landscapes.
